Prend ma sauce

 

During Art Contexte festival in May 2013, I organised a buffet journey on the topic of food choices we make everyday and that are based on family traditions, social pressure and personnal convictions. The spectator-participant is offered a plate of food and walks toward 3 desks where 3 chef cook fight against each other to offer the visitor their own recipe of spaghetti sauce. Later in the process, the visitor can choose food from a buffet table while people, whose head only comes out in between the dishes, stare at him/her. Maryline Chery and Raphael Lafleur were performing th cooks, Kathleen Hodeige and Myriam Lafortune were cooking. Most of the buffet presented is organised strangely.
